{"id":4615,"date":"2022-12-20T17:45:34","date_gmt":"2022-12-20T16:45:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amoeba-nature.com\/?p=4615"},"modified":"2022-12-20T17:59:02","modified_gmt":"2022-12-20T16:59:02","slug":"us-epa-approves-amoebas-biocide-in-the-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amoeba-nature.com\/en\/us-epa-approves-amoebas-biocide-in-the-us\/","title":{"rendered":"US EPA approves Amoeba&#8217;s biocide in the US"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"container\"><div class=\"row\"><div class=\"medium-large-full\">\n<h1 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><strong>US EPA approves Amoeba&#8217;s biocide for use in closed<\/strong> <strong>cooling systems<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\"><div class=\"row\"><div class=\"medium-large-full\">\n<p><strong>Lyon (France), D\u00e9cember\u00a020<sup>th<\/sup>, 2022 &#8211;\u00a017h45\u00a0&#8211; AMO\u00c9BA (FR0011051598 &#8211; ALMIB),<\/strong><a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>producer of a biological biocide capable of eliminating bacterial risk in water and human wounds, and of a biocontrol product for plant protection, still in development phase,\u00a0informs that the US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) has approved the use of the\u00a0<em>Willaertia magna<\/em>\u00a0C2c Maky as an active substance for use cooling systems.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\"><div class=\"row\"><div class=\"medium-large-full\">\n<p><strong>As a result of the EPA&#8217;s favorable pre-decision (see Press Release dated August 10<sup>th<\/sup>, 2022) and the public consultation required for any new active substance, completed on December 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2022, the amoeba&nbsp;<em>Willaertia magna<\/em>&nbsp;C2c Maky and the BIOMEBA products containing it are now approved in the United States for a biocidal use in closed cooling systems for the control of microbial slime (bioslime), microbially induced corrosion and general microbial flora.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\"><div class=\"row\"><div class=\"medium-large-full\">\n<p>\u201c<em>After more than 10 years of research and development, Amo\u00e9ba is the very first company in the world to validate a biological biocide in the treatment of bacterial risk in water!
